Since 2014 the Monterey Firefighters Association, the official collective bargaining and labor representation organization for the professional men and women of the Monterey Fire Department, has been organizing fundraisers and community events. In late 2020 we decided to form Monterey Firefighters Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to focus exclusively on the non-profit side of union activities.

Thank you for your support!

Returning from a call to find this chalk artwork outside Station 13 put a smile on our faces. Let’s all support each other through these tough times. ⁣

Your Monterey Firefighters are taking extraordinary measures to prevent COVID-19 transmission, and we kindly request that you heed all of the continually evolving guidelines from the CDC, state, and local governments.⁣

We are committed to preserving the best interests of the community

Monterey Firefighters Community Foundation encourages your continued participation.

Over the years, there are times when the department or the city wants to do something that we feel is not in the best interests of the community. When these situations arise, we feel it is our responsibility to alert and inform the public so that we can work together to ensure the fire department is equipped with all necessary resources. Thanks to hard work and overwhelming public support we’ve been able to retain our aerial reserve ladder truck, continue and improve upon our engine paramedic program and retain existing firefighter positions to name a few.

Thank you for supporting us in continuing to make the community a safer place, we couldn’t have done it without you.
